Input Options
DocuTech accepts both 3-1/2" and 5-1/4" diskettes generated by word processing and desktop publishing systems, with output in any of the following page description languages:
- PostScript Level II
- HP PCL V
- Interpress
It can also scan hard copy input, including photos, into your digital documents.

Digital Made Ready
Our DocuTech operators have powerful functions available to swiftly prepare your digital document for printing. For the high quality of a first generation image, we'll scan your original graphics and photos - including continuous tone photos that need high resolution scanning - size them to fit, and merge them into your layout electronically. We can also enhance your document and its images in the many ways described on the following pages. In sum, we can be your electronic graphics department.

Digital Print Production (on Demand)
On the high speed, high quality printer, every copy is an original, printed at four times the resolution available from your office laser printers. Production is greatly simplified - and fast. In fact, DocuTech never rests. While one document is being printed and bound automatically at a top speed of 8,100 pages per hour, another document can be scanned and entered into the print queue.

Storage Options
Our print shop will maintain a master copy of your document - on paper, diskette, or computer file - to replace document warehousing and storage rooms. We'll print in quantities you need for the short term, and reprint on-demand or on schedule.

Paper Options
- Any size from 8" x 10" to 11" x 17" inches, from 16 lbs. copy paper to heavy 110 lbs. cover stock.
- Recycled paper okay.
- Special purpose paper stocks, including tab stock, transparencies, punched paper and carbonless forms.
Because DocuTech has several paper trays, we can automatically insert tabs or preprinted pages, as required.

Finishing Options
With our DocuTech system, we offer three basic ways to bind your document: stitching, tape binding and booklets.
- Stitching. One staple in the top left hand corner. Or two staples down the side.
- Tape Binding. We tape the spine, with a choice of colors: black, blue, red, brown, white, grey.
- Signature Booklets. The DocuTech operator can select automatic imposition for booklet finishing. Ordinary letter size paper produces a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" booklet. Legal size paper produces a 7" x 8-1/2" booklet. 11" x 17" stock produces an 8-1/2" x 11" booklet.

Highlight Options
DocuTech prints in black and 16 shades of grey. Grey highlighting is a marvelous accent tool that can effectively set off mastheads, logos, artwork and important text messages.
In addition, keep these two highlight options in mind:
Color covers can be preprinted, and collated automatically with the black-and-white interior pages run on DocuTech.
For such documents as newsletters that are re-issued periodically, we can preprint a masthead or other section in color, and use the preprinted stock to feed DocuTech.
